A South Florida nun reacted to viral video of her chainsawing an enormous fallen tree to clear the road near her school.

Sister Margaret Ann, the principal of Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School in Miami, was pictured earlier this week on video clearing debris felled by Hurricane Irma.

"I'm just happy that I had the opportunity to help out," she told Sandra Smith. "[There's] a lot of need and the road was not passable."

The nun said that the focus shouldn't be on her personally, but that the video itself which shows that "our Lord and the good he can bring out of tragedy when we put other people first."

"My community and even my father always tells us, if you had a chance to help out then you should," she said.
