Kennedy: Trump Should Not Hold Rally With Charlottesville Tensions Still Simmering
"Outnumbered" host Kennedy said President Trump should "check himself before he wrecks himself" and change the timing of his campaign-style rally scheduled for Tuesday.
While Democrats criticizing the Phoenix, Arizona rally are just trying to get "political traction" to criticize the president, the country is still hurting from the Charlottesville riots, Kennedy said.
"I don't think this is the week for a campaign-style rally," she said. "This is the week for an address to the nation about something like Afghanistan."
"Things are still simmering" from the violent white supremacist rally that left one dead in Charlottesville, Virginia, she remarked.
Lisa Boothe said the rally might actually be good for President Trump provided he uses it to encourage citizens to be united as Americans in condemning all hate groups.
