Williams: Bannon's WH Departure Means 'Nationalists' Have Been 'Eclipsed By Globalists'
Juan Williams said that Steve Bannon's departure from the White House showed that the "globalist" faction of President Trump's staff has "eclipsed" the economic "nationalist" faction.
Williams did however question Trump supporters who said the so-called "globalists" were as liberal as they have been labeled.
He said that now, the big names in Trump's circle include his daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, as well as advisers Gary Cohn and Dina Powell.
Williams said they were more "Wall Street" than standard liberals are.
The remaining advisers as "more moderate compared to Bannon, but not compared to the Democratic agenda," he said.
"The establishment Republicans are in a moment too," Williams said. "They're very angry at Trump right now because Trump is blaming Mitch McConnell for the failure of his legislative agenda."
Williams said that, with Bannon's departure and return to Breitbart News, the right-wing outlet "can take a really high place" in political discourse.
