Watters: If Terror Cells Come Through Mexico, Dems Would Vote to Fund Wall

Graphic Video Shows Aftermath of Barcelona Vehicle Terror Attack

Dana Loesch says the deadly terror attack in Barcelona is a stark reminder that we must take measures to ensure our national security.

"This is widespread. It's widespread throughout Europe, because so many individuals who seek to do people harm have the means by which to easily travel between country and country," Loesch said on "Fox & Friends" this morning.

She said the U.S. should be wary about adopting the European Union's open borders policy, and we should prioritize fixing our own broken immigration system.

"We need to make sure that we're able to vet individuals who are coming into our country and fix any problems with our current system as it is before we expand it or allow individuals to come in further," Loesch said.

President Trump sent out a series of tweets on Friday morning, reinforcing the importance of border security and blaming "obstructionist Democrats" for standing in the way.

Loesch said the terrible Barcelona attack makes you ask yourself: "What could we have done to prevent any of this?"

She suggested that it's time for an honest discussion about what steps we can take to keep our country and people safe.

"We're one of the only sovereign nations on the entire planet that has to fight just to secure our borders," Loesch said.
