'We've Got to Enforce the Law': ICE Director Lays Out Hard Line on Illegal Immigration

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) said the ongoing White House "soap opera" is preventing President Trump's successes and his messaging from getting out into the public.

"Trump is getting a lot of big things done, but the soap opera blocks you from seeing it," he said.

Gingrich said one episode of the soap opera is the now-icy relationship between Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Gingrich said Sessions is handling the disagreement perfectly by not wading into a fight with anyone.

He said Sessions continues to promote and execute the president's agenda when it comes to illegal immigration and gangs.

Gingrich said Trump is "thrashing around" and taking his Russia probe frustrations out on Sessions.

He also criticized the ongoing feud between White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
