Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) praised President Trump for working to convince technology manufacturer Foxconn to invest $10 billion in his state.

Foxconn, which produces screens for iPhones among other things, announced it will invest that amount in a new plant in Wisconsin.

To date, most of Foxconn's manufacturing for Apple occurs in China.

Ryan called the decision a "game change for southeast Wisconsin."

"It's a great day for American manufacturing," Ryan said, praising Trump for his leadership on the matter.

Vice President Pence called the move a "historic day for American jobs and the American heartland."
