Charles Krauthammer dismissed the notion that there is a possibility of "resurrecting" the Republican ObamaCare replacement.

Krauthammer said the chances of "resurrecting" the bill are "rather small."

"If it succeeded, it would be the most spectacular [resurrection] since Lazarus," he said.

In Christian teachings, Jesus Christ was called to a village to help the sisters of an ill man named Lazarus, who died before he arrived.

Jesus said a prayer at Lazarus' tomb, only to have the man come back to life and walk out of his burial plot.

"I'm not sure these [Republicans] have divine powers," Krauthammer said.

He said the GOP made a "strategic error" in choosing to tackle health care first.

"People have become accustomed to the new entitlement, " he said.
