Deputy assistant to the president Dr. Sebastian Gorka said the administration "loves" watching the press' wall-to-wall coverage about Russia.

"This is a massive nothing-burger, Sean," Gorka said of the latest news story surrounding Trump's discussion with Vladimir Putin at a German dinner.

"Maybe CNN doesn't know... [but] JFK met with Khrushchev... in Vienna," he said.

"We love it," Gorka said of the coverage. "It's just another indicator of one thing - they are desperate."

He said the mainstream media is having a "crisis of credibility" because viewers notice they are not covering "real" news.
