In his exclusive interview with Sean Hannity, first son Donald Trump Jr. said he would never do anything to endanger the United States or its citizens.

"We'd do anything for this country," Trump Jr. said of his family. "We're never going to put that in jeopardy."

He dismissed the meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya as "a nothing" and said there was no intent of collusion in any way.

"This was a courtesy to an acquaintance," he said, noting the meeting was somewhat facilitated by a British publicist named Robert Goldstone.

"There's nothing I would do to endanger this country," Trump Jr. said

Trump Jr. also responded to Sens. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Chris van Hollen (D-Md.), who slammed the meeting.

Kaine wondered aloud to a reporter whether 39-year-old committed treason.

Trump Jr. said he would have divulged the contents of the meeting to authorities if they were "shady" or a "threat to national security."

"They're trying to drag out the story. I'm more than happy to be transparent about it," he said.
