Hannity Blasts 'Liberal Joe' Scarborough for 'Petulant and Arrogant' Coverage of Trump

On "America's News HQ" today, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said President Trump's controversial tweets about the "Morning Joe" co-hosts were simply a response to their personal attacks on him.

President Trump lashed out at MSNBC's recently engaged co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough in a personal attack Thursday. His comment that Brzezinski was "bleeding badly from a face-lift" drew particular outrage.

Since January, "Morning Joe" has said the president has dementia, and called him a "goon," a "thug," and an "embarrassment."

"Today the president acted like a human, and he pushed back," McDaniel said.

McDaniel asked where the outrage was when President Trump was compared to someone with dementia.

"That's like me scolding my four-year-old for using a bad word and then me repeating it," host Julie Banderas pushed back. "That's just not how you run a country."

"But it's more than that," said a visibly frustrated McDaniel. "It's personal sometimes. ... It's day after day after day of this."

Despite the distraction of President Trump's tweets, McDaniel said the GOP is focused on health care reform, tax reform, veterans, and other high priority projects.
