'Like Hell It's Nonbinding': Trump Slams Paris Climate Accord
President Trump said during a speech in Iowa that the American people looked past the media and Democrats' warnings about withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord.
"It's amazing how the people of this country get it because the press covers it so unfairly," he said.
Trump said the accord would've cost America millions of lost jobs and billions of dollars.
He noted China was not facing similar constraints until 2030.
Trump also dismissed Democrats who said the accord is "nonbinding," meaning countries could ignore parts of the accord it did not like.
"They all say it's 'nonbinding'," he said. "Like Hell it's nonbinding."
"When we get sued by everbody because we thought it was nonbinding, then you can tell me it was nonbinding," he added.
