CNN's Jim Acosta blasted White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer for refusing to answer certain questions and for not allowing reporters to record his briefing.

Acosta said Spicer would not say whether President Trump has tapes of ex-FBI Director James Comey, or whether he believes in climate change.

"The White House press secretary is getting to a point, Brooke, where he's just kind of useless," Acosta said.

"Is he not having conversations with the president about simple questions like climate change?" anchor Brooke Baldwin asked.

Acosta turned around and pointed, saying "that's the White House. It's bizarre. We're standing at the White House and they won't answer these questions on camera."

Trump and Acosta have had an icy relationship for some time, after Trump singled out the reporter several times on the campaign trail.

At a press conference in Trump Tower, the then-president-elect criticized CNN for reporting on the unverified dossier about him.

Later, Acosta rose to defend his company's reputation and said he wanted to ask a question.

"No...don't be rude. I'm not going to give you a question," Trump said, pointing at Acosta. "You are fake news."
