'This Isn't a Gun Issue': Loesch Rips McAuliffe For Gun Control Rhetoric After Shooting
Radio host Dana Loesch ripped Virginia's governor for making comments about gun control in the wake of the Republican baseball shooting.
Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) said "there are too many guns on the street" and then erroneously claimed "93 million people" per day are killed in gun violence.
A reporter corrected McAuliffe, saying the figure was likely just 93.
"This isn't a gun issue," Loesch said. "The good guys saved the day [with guns]."
Loesch said the issue that likely spurred the shooting was violent rhetoric from the left against President Trump and the GOP.
She referenced last week's production of "Julius Caesar" in New York City which featured a mock assassination of the president.
Loesch said shooter James Hodgkinson was "feeding off the poison" spread by such violent rhetoric.
