Herman Cain criticized MSNBC's Joe Scarborough for his "poisonous vitriol" repeatedly aimed at President Trump.

Sean Hannity recounted how Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from Florida, frequently takes shots at Trump.

Scarborough said Trump "looked like a thug - looked like a goon" when he "embarrass[ed] the United States" at the recent NATO meeting.

He also called Trump "Vladimir Putin's hostage."

Co-host Mika Brzezinski likened his accomplishments to a child defecating "in their pants and then saying [they] meant to do that."

Cain said Scarborough's continued criticism "takes Trump Derangement Syndrome to a whole new level."

"They literally think people are believing their poisonous vitriol," Cain said, adding that Scarborough's and Brzezinski's "disrespect for the president is not resonating with people."
