Trump Jr. on Kathy Griffin Photo Shoot: 'Imagine a Conservative Did This to Obama'
Kathy Griffin is taking heavy criticism for a photo shoot in which she is holding a bloodied mask of President Donald Trump.
The comedian posed for the gory photos during a session with notoriously edgy photographer Tyler Shields.
In a Twitter post late Tuesday, Griffin said the image "is too disturbing," and that "it wasn't funny."
I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong. pic.twitter.com/LBKvqf9xFB

The photo shoot has been condemned by many on social media, including Trump himself.
Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!

Donald Trump Jr. went on a social media tear, ripping Griffin for the tasteless photos.
Disgusting but not surprising. This is the left today. They consider this acceptable. Imagine a conservative did this to Obama as POTUS? https://t.co/QdghcbIjS7

The #kathygriffin phony apology would be a lot easier to believe if there wasn't a video of her mocking the response she knew was coming.

According to TMZ, Griffin joked with Shields on set they would need to move to Mexico after the photos were released or fear imprisonment.
In her Twitter post on Tuesday, Griffin said she was going to "take down the image."
"I went too far and I was wrong," she said.
CNN announced Wednesday afternoon that it had released Griffin from her New Year's Eve show host position.
