Rev. Jeffress: Trump, Pope 'Looked Like BFF's' After Meeting
Dr. Robert Jeffress said President Trump and Pope Francis looked like best friends after their meeting.
Jeffress, of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, noted how Trump and His Holiness have had an icy relationship up until today.
The pope has criticized Trump's planned wall on the Mexican border and Trump has called the pontiff's political rhetoric "disgraceful."
However, after a mostly off-the-record meeting, the pair emerged "look[ing] like BFF's," Jeffress said.
"The president and the pope decided to turn the other cheek," Jeffress said.
