President Trump hired a high-profile white-collar attorney to represent him in the independent counsel investigation into allegations of Russian collusion.

Fox Business Network's Charles Gasparino reported exclusively on "Risk & Reward" that Trump retained his longtime attorney Marc Kasowitz on Tuesday evening.

Gasparino said Kasowitz is a high-powered attorney in white-collar legal matters and "one of the toughest lawyers" he has met.

He cautioned that Kasowitz' counsel is not to be taken as a hint of guilt in the probe.

"It's just something you do," Gasparino said.

Gasparino added that he reached out to the White House and Kasowitz' representatives but had not received comment at press time.

A Trump source told Fox News that another Trump counsel, Michael Cohen, will aid Kasowitz.
