Russian model Victoria Bonya said she was held at LAX Airport on suspicion of being a spy.
TSA agents reportedly found a business card for a company that makes hidden video cameras in her luggage.
Bonya, a former Playboy model, said officers questioned her about Russian President Vladimir Putin and the KGB.
She said she was released after showing officers her social media accounts.
"I started laughing, as I really thought it was a joke, until they asked me the same thing for a third time," Bonya wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post about the experience. "It was a big shock! I thought that was it and that they will deport me asap."
