Author's Book Analyzes Why 69 Percent of Divorces Are Initiated by Women
According to a 2015 Stanford University study, 69 percent of divorces are initiated by women.
In her new book "The Alpha Female's Guide to Men and Marriage: How Love Works," author Suzanne Venker delves into the relationships between alpha women and their men.
Venker joined "Fox & Friends Weekend" on Saturday, saying that women today are groomed to lead and insist on being in charge, which could affect their relationships with their husbands.
In the book, Venker suggests alpha females must find their "inner beta," try to be more feminine, stop arguing so much and serve their husbands.
"When you serve somebody, what you're doing is simply loving them," Venker said. "To serve someone is to love them."
She added that it is important for alpha females to find a balance with their alpha and beta.
"Two people can't drive the same car. Someone has to sit in the passenger seat for example. If you're vying for the wheel, you're gonna have conflict," she said.
She said the point of her book is to show that men respond to a softer approach from their wives since they do not respond well to "nagging."
