Monday on "The View", panelist Joy Behar said "Saturday Night Live" appeared to compare President Trump to a dictator, saying that authoritarians do not like being publicly lampooned.

"There is nothing that a dictator hates more than being made fun of," Behar said in response to panelist Whoopi Goldberg saying "laughs" are what America needs right now.

The panel was discussing several recent "SNL" sketches, including one in which Kenan Thompson, portraying Zimbabwe's infamous president Robert Mugabe, laughed at the prospect of Alec Baldwin's Trump being a dictator and threatened him.

In "The Producers", Behar said, director Mel Brooks made fun of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler:

"If Hitler were around [then], he would hate it," she said.
