The Trump administration is expected to announce new sanctions Iran after a recent ballistic missile test, reported.

On "Special Report," Charles Krauthammer said this is a sign to the Iranians that this administration won't "self-deter" like the previous one.

Krauthammer explained that the Obama administration was so focused on getting the Iran nuclear agreement signed that they were reluctant to do anything about Tehran's aggressions, such as their support of terrorists and their illegal ballistic missile launches.

"[The Obama administration] was afraid if it imposes sanctions or if it does anything more drastic, Iran will pull out of the nuclear agreement," Krauthammer said.

He said the Trump administration is telling Iran, "Those days are over," and is signaling they will punish any aggression in the region and any illegal missile launches with sanctions.
