Trump Threatens Fed Funds After Violent Protests at UC-Berkeley Over Milo Speech
President Donald Trump has threatened the possible removal of federal funds to UC-Berkeley following violent protests Wednesday night on the campus.
Conservative activist and journalist Milo Yiannopoulos was forced to cancel a speaking engagement at the university after the protests broke out.
Thursday morning, Trump sent the following tweet:
If U.C. Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view - NO FEDERAL FUNDS?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 2, 2017
Yiannopoulos said he was evacuated from campus after protesters turned violent.
Would Trump be justified in removing federal funding to UC-Berkeley if these actions continue? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section.
