Country music superstar Luke Bryan will be singing the national anthem for this year's Super Bowl.

He made the announcement in a video posted on Twitter Sunday.

The game will be played Sunday, Feb. 5, at 6:30 p.m. ET at NRG Stadium in Houston. The New England Patriots take on the Atlanta Falcons on Fox.

Bryan is from Georgia and is a Falcons fan. He will be the first man to perform the anthem at the Super Bowl in 10 years.

Let's hope this performance goes better than Bryan's late November concert in Nashville, Tenn., where video shows him slapping an unruly fan in the front row in the face.
