President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump shared their first dance as president and first lady at the Liberty Ball late Friday.

The Trumps, later joined by the Pences and both couples' children, danced to a cover rendition of Frank Sinatra's "My Way".

Prior to the dance, Mr. Trump made brief remarks to the crowd at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center:

"Well, we did it," Trump said, "[Critics] said we didn't have a chance, but we knew we were going to win, and we won."

Trump said he was thankful the rain held off during the outdoor portions of his inauguration:

"God was looking down on us," he said.

"This whole day... was so incredible. We want to see great things happen for our country."
