An 18-year-old girl visiting the White House was bitten by the Obama family's dog, TMZ reported today.
The website shared a photo of a nasty-looking gash under the girl's eye, reporting that the incident occurred Monday.
The family friend reportedly was bitten when she reached down to pet and give a kiss to Sunny, the Obamas' female Portuguese Water Dog.
We're told the Obamas' family physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, checked her out and decided she needed stitches. She's gonna be okay, but we're told she'll likely have a small scar ... which upset her. She posted various pics of the injury and her visit to Dr. Jackson on social media.
TMZ says it reached out to the White House, but received no comment.
Sunny is the younger of the family's two Portuguese Water Dogs. The Obamas have had 8-year-old Bo throughout their stay in the White House.
