Kimberly Guilfoyle and Dana Perino went behind the scenes last weekend when 'country' came to New York City, as Professional Bull Riding kicked off its 2017 season at Madison Square Garden.

The shared home of the New York Knicks and New York Rangers got a fresh coat of dirt in preparation for the arrival of the bulls and their riders for the much-anticipated event.

Rider Jess Lockwood of Volborg, Mont. said he was very excited to make his first trip to the Big Apple.

"Some bulls are tame, but once they get in the chute, they have a job to do... to buck you off," he told Perino and Guilfoyle.

The bulls weigh anywhere from half a ton to 1,500 pounds, rider Stetson Lawrence of Williston, N.D. said.

Bonner Bolton recounted to the hosts how he broke his C-2 vertebrae during a bad dismount at a previous competition.

During the event, Guilfoyle and Perino gave play-by-play commentary from the 'shark tank' in the center of the action!

"Once you go PBR Shark Tank, you never go back," Guilfoyle said.
