Tucker: No Reason for Assange to Lie About WikiLeaks Source
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange continues to insist that the Russian government was not his source for the hacked election-related emails.
In an exclusive interview with Sean Hannity that airs at 10:00 p.m. tonight on Fox News Channel, Assange said that his source is not a state party at all.
On "Fox & Friends" this morning, Tucker Carlson explained why he believes Assange has no reason to lie about the source of the leaks.
"If he's lying, what's the point of his lying?" Carlson said. "Julian Assange is a man of the left. He's not an ally of Donald Trump."
He noted that Assange claims that the Obama administration is attempting to delegitimize Trump by pushing the narrative of Russia meddling in the U.S. election.
"Why would he be acting on Trump's behalf? What is his motive for doing that? I don't see that he has one."
