George Will: How Election-Related Hackings Are a 'Huge Victory' for Putin
During a press conference today, President Obama said he's confident in the intelligence community's conclusion that the Russian government meddled in the U.S. election.
Obama, however, said that he won't be able to reveal all the sources and methods used in making that determination due to the need for secrecy.
On "Special Report" tonight, George Will said that he hopes the president doesn't keep much of the intelligence secret, because this was a "huge victory" for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Will explained that whether Putin intended to swing the election for President-elect Donald Trump or not, the effect of the alleged Russian interference is that Americans are at each other's throats, even more than usual.
"By sowing discord and sowing doubts in the minds of maybe 30 or 40 percent of Americans about some taint of illegitimacy in this election, it's a huge victory for Putin," Will said.
