Abby Huntsman was named Tuesday as the new co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, Fox News Channel announced.

Huntsman, who joined Fox News in 2015, will make her official hosting debut this Saturday at 6am ET.

"Abby’s energetic reporting and ability to connect with our viewers make her a great addition on the curvy couch. We are pleased to welcome her to the 'Fox & Friends Weekend' team," said Suzanne Scott, Executive Vice President of Programming at Fox News Channel.

Huntsman will join Clayton Morris and a rotating male co-host on the top-rated cable news weekend morning program.

"I am honored that Fox News has given me the opportunity to fulfill my lifelong dream of delivering the morning news and am excited to officially join the Fox & Friends family," Huntsman said.

"Fox & Friends Weekend" is having its highest-rated year in network history in total viewers and highest-rated year since 2012.

Many FNC colleagues were quick to wish Abby well on Twitter...

Abby joined "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday to discuss the exciting news. She said she remembers visiting New York City in middle school and high school with her family and seeing the show being filmed outside.

"I was just so enamored with what y'all do. It really is surreal to be here," she said.

Tune in Saturdays and Sundays 6am to 10am ET for all the Fox & Friends Weekend fun on Fox News Channel!
