'Luke Skywalker' Says Trump's Cabinet Full of 'Really Despicable People'
Actor Mark Hamill, known best as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars film franchise, sounded off Sunday about President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet choices, the Daily Beast reported.
"Look at what's being assembled for our government," Hamill, 65, said, "It's like 'Yikes'-- It's a who's-who of really despicable people."
Thus far, Trump has chosen a handful of cabinet nominees, including Betsy DeVos for secretary of education, Gen. Michael Flynn for national security adviser, and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus as White House chief of staff.
Hamill was promoting his new program "Pop Culture Quest" when he lamented the election's outcome.
"I'm in total denial," he said, adding that he was happy to have his new show to take his mind off of politics.
The Jedi master actor said it is "tempting" to echo what some Trump critics have, in threatening to "move to Canada":
"But in other ways, it's a challenge to stay and defend your country."
