Gutfeld Rips 'Moron' Emanuel for Declaring Chicago Will Always Be a Sanctuary City
In his monologue on "The Five" today, Greg Gutfeld ripped Mayor Rahm Emanuel for declaring that Chicago will remain a "sanctuary city."
"To all those who are very nervous after Tuesday's election, you are safe in Chicago, you are secure in Chicago and you are supported in Chicago," Emanuel said on Monday.
Gutfeld called Emanuel an "moron," asking how he could label a city that has 600 murders a year a "sanctuary."
"What else is a sanctuary?" Gutfeld wondered. "Aleppo? Mosul? The magma basin of an active volcano?"
"Chicago's only slightly safer than a minefield."
He suggested that there should be sanctuary cities for people who want to escape cities run by "incompetent liberals" like Emanuel.
"It's entirely possible that one day there will be sanctuary cities in Mexico, for people fleeing Chicago."
"The worst part of Rahm's idiocy is that he sees no link between his symbolic gesture and the horror it causes. For that I offer two words: Kate Steinle. There was no sanctuary for her."
