Trump After Election Victory: 'It Is Time for Us to Come Together'

Stunned Democrats React to Trump's Presidential Election Victory

Donald Trump defied the pundits and polls to win the 2016 presidential election.

Herman Cain says that's because the American people didn't buy the "constant negative Kool-Aid" that the media was serving them.

"I think what turned it was, people are not stupid," Cain said on "Fox & Friends" this morning. "They didn't fall for it. And what we heard last night, through the vote, was the voice of the people."

He added that he was "relieved" that the American people focused on Trump's substance and not the media's negative spin.

"The American people were smart enough, contrary to what the Democrats thought, to elect someone that they believed in."
