GOOD NEWS Sick Little Boy Gets Early Halloween Surprise From Local Police Officers
Dozens of police officers surprised a sick little boy at the hospital Wednesday in Fresno, California.
11-year-old Aidan Nelson has been at Valley Children’s Hospital for two months with a cancerous tumor on his neck that is terminal.
Local police officers decided to visit Aidan after his mother told them that the boy wanted to dress as a police officer for Halloween.
With a helicopter flying overhead and police lights flashing, the officers arrived at the hospital bearing smiles and gifts for the Aidan.
“It's so big, I just can't believe they all did this for my son," his mother, Elisha Nelson, told Fox 26.
"He was shocked. He doesn't like surprises too much, so he was a little nervous about what he was waiting for, but when he saw it he was like, 'This is so cool.' I thought they were just going to come by and say hi and give him a t-shirt and so it's pretty cool."
Well, Aidan certainly received much more than a t-shirt. Officers gave him his very own Fresno police uniform and said he's one of them for life.
“I'm just so overwhelmed," Nelson said. "I'm just so thankful for all the people. I mean, I love my son, but to see other people love on him too, it's just incredible."
