Viral Uh Oh... MI Steakhouse's Football-Themed Promotion Was a Bad Idea
An Ann Arbor restaurant is going to be on the hook for a lot of free food following the University of Michigan's enormous win over Rutgers.
The Ruth's Chris Steak House posted a promotion on Facebook, offering customers a discount on their total bill (Sunday through Thursday) that would be equivalent to the Wolverines' margin of victory.

In a blowout so big that it was trending on social media Saturday night, Michigan proceeded to outscore the Scarlet Knights 78 to nothing!
According to NJ.com, customers who inquired about whether a 78 percent discount would actually be available were told that the discount would be capped at half-off.
Many fans and sports reporters opined on social media that the Big Ten game was the most lopsided football contest they had ever witnessed.
For example, Rutgers had just five passing yards in the game and did not gain a first down until they were down 71-0 in the fourth quarter.
