There was speculation that Donald Trump would take to Twitter during the VP debate and moments ago, he confirmed it.

Trump said he'll be live-tweeting throughout tonight's 90-minute forum, which gets underway at 9:00pm ET on Fox News Channel.

Republican Mike Pence, governor of Indiana, will take the stage against Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine in Kaine's home state of Virginia.

In a recent ABC News poll, 41 percent of respondents could not name the VP candidates.

Just a few days ago, Trump made headlines for a series of tweets, including one sent at 3am and another in which he directed people to "check out" a sex tape involving former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.

Carl Cameron reported this afternoon from Longwood University, which will host the debate.

Cameron said Pence's biggest challenge will be defending Trump's rhetoric and trying to explain policy proposals that might lack specifics.
