Report: FBI Has Identified 2 Men Who Handled NYC Bomb
The FBI has reportedly identified two men who were captured on camera handling a pressure cooker bomb that was left on a New York City street earlier this month.
The FBI said the men saw a piece of luggage on the sidewalk, removed the improvised explosive device that was inside and then left with just the luggage.
Bombing suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami allegedly left the suitcase at the location on 27th Street right around the time that another explosive device detonated on 23rd Street, injuring 31 people.
The bomb, which was found wrapped in a plastic bag by a neighbor, did not detonate.
Shannon Bream reported this afternoon that the FBI believes the two men are no longer in the U.S. and are likely in the Middle East.
Bream said that the agency does not regard the men as suspects in the investigation, but they would like to speak to them.
The FBI also said that the men reportedly leaving the U.S. for the Middle East is "not suspicious."
