Theatergoers in attendance at ‘Beauty & the Beast’’s 25th anniversary performance on Broadway were ecstatic when ‘Mrs. Potts’ walked onto the stage and performed the iconic title theme to the animated picture:

“Tale as old as time;

True as it can be;

Barely even friends;

Then somebody bends;

Unexpectedly.” ...


British actress Angela Lansbury sounded equally as delightful on the stage at Alice Tully Hall this week as she did in Fall 1991 when the Disney film was first released, as evident from the crowd’s reaction.

Lansbury, 90, is also well-known for her role in the 1990s television drama “Murder, She Wrote” as writer & detective Jessica Fletcher.
