Ex-CIA Director: No Room for Political Correctness in Fight Against Radical Islam
Former CIA Director James Woolsey says that political correctness hurts our ability to prevent attacks like what happened in New York and New Jersey over the weekend.
"As long as we have to talk about things in a politically correct way and we can't say that it's Islamic terror ... we are causing ourselves a massive amount of trouble," Woolsey said. "There's virtually nothing that's worse than political correctness if you're trying to understand what's going on in something like a movement like radical Islam."
Woolsey, a Donald Trump supporter, slammed the Obama administration for failing to label the enemy as "radical Islamic terror" and for trying to change the facts to fit their narrative.
"This is ridiculous. It's not just a PR matter. It's not a matter of ratings. It's a matter of life and death."
He said that President Obama simply isn't taking the threat of radical Islam and Islamist groups like ISIS seriously.
"Suppose we had fought World War II this way, we would be sitting around here pledging allegiance to Hitler’s heirs, I would think," Woolsey said. "We would have lost."
