Fiery Huckabee: Clinton’s Gun Control Plans are Another ‘Hillary Hypocrisy’
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee joined Fox and Friends to discuss the state of Donald Trump’s presidential bid, which he supports.
Clayton Morris told Huckabee that the New York Times ran a story on Trump’s latest comments about the Second Amendment, saying that he “once again raised the specter of violence against Hillary Clinton by suggesting Friday that Secret Service agents who guard her voluntarily disarm to ‘see what happens to her’ without their protection.”
Huckabee called the Times’ insinuation “utter nonsense.”
“He’s pointing out the absolute ‘Hillary hypocrisy’: Guns for me—good thing—guns for you—bad thing.”
“Since 1978 she’s be surrounded by people who’ve protected her, not with a notepad, but with guns."
Clinton has said in the past she will sign executive orders calling for tighter gun control.
“[Clinton believes] the great unwashed should not feel that they have a role in saying what they want in their government,” Huckabee said.
He also noted the so-called ‘enthusiasm gap’ between Trump’s and Hillary’s rallies:
“A Donald Trump rally is like an Aerosmith concert—a Hillary rally…is like going to a wake.”
