Hillary Clinton has taken extensive criticism for labeling half of Donald Trump supporters a "basket of deplorables," and now the "deplorables" themselves are calling her out.

At a Trump campaign event in Asheville, North Carolina, on Monday, the Republican nominee invited some supporters onstage to respond to Clinton's assertion that many of them are “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamophoboic.”

"My wife and I represent non-deplorable people," one man said. "We are not racists at all. We don’t even fit on that list that she put out."

“As a black, female American, I say let’s get out and support Donald Trump,” his wife exclaimed to applause.
