There's been another provocation from Iran, which has now threatened to shoot down U.S. Navy spy planes in the Persian Gulf.

The incident happened Saturday as the two reconnaissance planes flew 13 miles off the coast of Iran. Twelve miles would have put the planes in Iranian territory.

It's the latest in a series of recent incidents involving Iranian forces and the U.S. military in the Persian Gulf.

Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said on America's Newsroom that it's time for the United States to decide on a "strategic response," as Iran tries to demonstrate that it's the "dominant power" in the region.

Bolton said it's time for the U.S. to "do something" in order to show the Iranian regime that this behavior is "unacceptable."

"I have zero faith that the Obama administration will do anything like that," he added, explaining that President Obama is sending a message around the world that the U.S. isn't going to push back.
