Krauthammer on Hillary's Pneumonia: The Cover-Up Was Worse Than the Crime
Charles Krauthammer said that the lack of transparency surrounding Hillary Clinton's walking pneumonia diagnosis was "another case of the cover-up being worse than the crime."
Clinton had been given a diagnosis of pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics on Friday, but it wasn't until Sunday afternoon, five hours after she was filmed being helped into a van while abruptly leaving a 9/11 memorial in New York, that her campaign disclosed her condition.
The Clinton campaign acknowledged that it could have provided more information more quickly and announced that it would release more information on her health in the coming days.
Krauthammer told Special Report that if it's true Clinton only has walking pneumonia, it's "totally benign" and should have been explained right away.
"As everybody can see, it just adds to the impression that these people are simply incapable of telling the truth, the simple truth. And on things where they're not really culpable, they should easily be able to explain it."
He added, "They find a way to make themselves make her look untrustworthy, and that's where the damage is."
