Ohio police posted some powerful pictures online to warn the public about the dangers of drug abuse, Sandra Smith reported on America’s Election HQ.

The photos show two parents passed out from a heroin overdose, seated in the front of their car while their four-year-old son looks on.

Law enforcement officials in East Liverpool, Ohio posted the photos of the family on Facebook.

“We feel it necessary to show the other side of this horrible drug. We feel we need to be a voice for the children caught up in this horrible mess,” the city government wrote on Facebook.

The man, who police found barely conscious in the drivers seat, told police he was driving the woman to hospital

The child is in county custody, while his parents face several charges.
