After San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick made headlines by kneeling during the national anthem, other athletes have begun to follow in his footsteps.

NFL Kickoff tweeted an image of Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall kneeling during the anthem at the first NFL game of the season on Thursday night.

Marshall and Kaepernick were college teammates at Nevada.

This comes amid reports that the Seattle Seahawks are planning a pregame demonstration on Sunday.
