During NBC's Commander in Chief Forum, a former naval flight officer asked Hillary Clinton how those who've been entrusted with classified information should be expected to have any confidence in her leadership as president when she "clearly corrupted our national security."

Clinton replied that classified material is designated with a header "so that there is no dispute at all."

What we have here is the use of an unclassified system by hundreds of people in our government to send information that was not marked. There were no headers. There was no statement top secret, secret or confidential.

Clinton said she communicated about classified material on a "wholly separate system."

Clinton said she did "exactly what I should have done, and I take it very seriously. Always have, always will."
