A family struggling to get down a mountain after their youngest member broke her arm were helped in a major way by none other than top UFC competitor Miesha Tate.

The 30-year-old former bantamweight champion encountered the distraught group while hiking the the Mary Jane Falls trail in Mt. Charleston, Nevada. Poor 6-year-old Kai fell down at the top and broke her arm. She had to be carried down the entire 2.6-mile trail.

"To our rescue and assistance came the amazing @mieshatate the UFC fighter," Andrew Abalos wrote on Instagram, with a shot of Tate holding Kai.

 "She offered to help us carry her down the mountain. Such an amazing and humble person to have met. Our family can't thank you enough for all the help. You saved us easily hours of hiking and helped us get her to the hospital sooner."

Kai's mother Amber also thanked Tate for being "a true lifesaver" and said that Kai was her newest #1 fan.

Tate posted her own video of Kai on Instagram, calling her "the sweet little girl that kept me company down the mountain side, very upbeat despite her broken arm."

"And I just have to say this was one of the most rewarding days of my athletic career," she added.

Kai says in the video: "Thank you, Miesha. Thank you for carrying me, Miesha. Thank you for helping me."
