Heart-stopping video shows the moment a woman rescues two children from a flaming car after another vehicle crashes into a gas pump.

The incident occurred at the Citgo station in Farmington, Connecticut, on Monday evening.

Surveillance video released by police shows an unnamed 70-year-old man accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes and slam into the pump, causing it to tip over and engulf another car in flames.

A quick-thinking woman springs into action, pulling two kids, ageg 7 and 2, from the fiery vehicle, just seconds before the flames spread.

Police say everyone had time to evacuate following the crash and no injuries were reported.
