Gutfeld: It's 'No Wonder' Kerry Wants to Hide His 'Sad Legacy' on Terror
Greg Gutfeld took Secretary of State John Kerry to task for promoting an "ignorance is bliss" attitude on terror.
Kerry said in Bangladesh on Monday: "Perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn’t cover it quite as much. People wouldn’t know what’s going on.”
Gutfeld said the less you hear about Kerry's stint as top diplomat, the better it is for him. He reminded that Kerry is the one who, among other things, said ISIS was on the run and that air conditioning usage was as big a threat as the terror group.
"Now, we know the media does us no favors through repetition of breathless coverage, but it's no excuse to keep people in the dark," Gutfeld said. "The only reason for that is to hide our weakness in mitigating such threats.
"If the public's unaware of terror, then they're also unaware of how badly we fight it."
But he said that Kerry's tenure is a "sad legacy" so it's "no wonder he wants to hide it."
