Donald Trump tweeted that he has accepted an invitation to meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Wednesday, hours before he's expected to make a big speech on immigration from Phoenix.

The office of the president confirmed that Trump accepted its invitation as a "private visit."

Peña Nieto invited both Trump and Hillary Clinton to a visit on Friday, according to The Washington Post.

In July, he said there was "no way" that Mexico would pay for a wall between it and the United States. Peña Nieto also said he disagreed with Trump's characterization of Mexican illegal immigrants.
