There's less than a month to go before the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

The candidates will square off September 26 at 9:00pm ET at Hofstra University in New York in the first of three scheduled debates.

Clinton said at a fundraiser in the Hamptons that she doesn't "know which Donald Trump will show up."

Meantime, the Clinton team is talking to Trump's ghostwriter of "The Art of the Deal" - who has denounced Trump - in an effort to understand Trump's "deepest insecurities" and how to push his buttons, according to the New York Times.

The Times reported:

Her team is also getting advice from psychology experts to help create a personality profile of Mr. Trump to gauge how he may respond to attacks and deal with a woman as his sole adversary on the debate stage.

They are undertaking a forensic-style analysis of Mr. Trump’s performances in the Republican primary debates, cataloging strengths and weaknesses as well as trigger points that caused him to lash out in less-than-presidential ways.

The Outnumbered team discussed today how the eagerly anticipated Trump-Clinton confrontation will play out.

Meghan McCain said she has one line in mind that she'd like to hear from Trump.

"I just want him to say, I gave you money because I knew you could be bought," she said, referring to Trump's past donation to the Clinton Foundation.

She said that Trump won over GOP voters in the primary debates with "straight talk" and that Clinton may be "overpreparing" for the forums.

Lisa Boothe said Trump needs to be careful not to overstep with his attacks, noting the "double standard" that exists when it comes to a male candidate going after a female rival.

She argued that Trump is very hard to prepare for in a debate because he's so unpredictable.
